A Bit About Bekki
All aspects of this site was put together by Bekki and may not be used in any form without written permission.
Bekki is the proud mother of four wonderful sons, and a wife of a very patient man. If
there were a ‘tolerant’ award, her guys would win it hands down. While they now reside
in the Midwest, she dreams of returning to Arizona. She loves the Chicago Cubs,
Minnesota Vikings, movies, music, and reading. Her favorite description of herself is
'predictably unpredictable', but she's very much a frustrated perfectionist.

As a youngster, when the library couldn’t acquire new books fast enough to feed Bekki’s
hunger for fresh and new reads, she reread them all. She soon became bored with
forced marriages and secret babies. She hungered for depth and complete characters
with relationships where women weren’t afraid to stand up for themselves, both in and
out of the bedroom. So, she began writing her own stories.

Bekki's Writing Timeline

Bekki began her writing career as a closet writer in 1976. Primarily writing teen
stories and poetry. Daring to be different, she wrote was n her heart and soul and
that included passion, sex and other taboo topics not allowed in her household.

1980 brought a new twist in Bekki's writing. She penciled her first adult romance.
While it was fun to write, it's gone. One day she dug it out to type it into the
computer. She ripped it from the notebook and never saw it again. It's a mystery
since she doesn't throw anything away. While she does recall the gist of the story,
the genre and the characters, she's not sure she'll try to recreate it.

Wow - a huge gap here. What happened? "Life happened", and that's all she'll
say.

In 1992, she woke one morning with the urge to write a story of a young woman
who'd been raped. Writing in her spare time, she penciled the first draft and put it
aside as an idea for another had to be penciled. From there, her family grew and
they changed locations.

Mid 1994, while her husband was away on a temporary assignment, she took her
writing from the closet. For the next two years, she rewrote Nightmare's Love,
Patience, wrote Realignment of Unity and began The Fraudulent Colonel.

Circumstances led them to move again in 1996, where necessity required her to
find work outside the home. Her writing was once again put aside, though she
made attempts to work on it.

Finally, in 2005, she said enough, cut back the hours of her paying job and began
to edit, rewrite and polish these stories so she can finish the drafts of the
remaining in the Three Friends Trilogy and English Love.

However, in 2006, her writing took a turn. She realized The Fraudulent Colonel
contained the perfect setup for a second story. Excited, she continued the saga
of the lives of the members of the 53rd radar unit, titled - Crossed Circuits and
out of it came Camouflaged and Explosive to complete a trilogy of three enlisted
women.

And, so as not to leave anyone out, she plans to write a story titled Green and
Greed Iced staring the ex-husband from Realignment of Unity. Everyone
deserves to find their soul mate, especially someone you love to hate.

2007 brought on many changes for Bekki. She tried her hand at writing novellas.
In the process, she found anything under 30,000 wasn't possible for her to do
well. She prefers her characters to have well-rounded lives. So, she spent ten
months working on
A Psychic Hitch and finally received a contract twelve months
after she first wrote it. Thrilled, she went through  Last Glass of Wine, a story
she'd written in the summer of the same year and sent it off. Both are currently
available through Siren Publishing.

Then much to her surprise, when she went through files to see what else she had
nearly ready to go out, she realized she had a four story series going, starting
with
A Psychic Hitch and Last Glass of Wine. They'd all been started as stand-
alone pieces, but the connection between them were uncanny. She's hoping to
have the two remaining stories in the series now titled
Servin' It Up by the end of
2008.

Currently,  Bekki has several other projects in the works. Two contemporary
paranormals, she hadn't intentionally wrote, but her characters said, "Hey, what if
we do this and go this way?" She said, "It's your life, show it to me." So, she's
proofreading and tweaking
Jewel of the Sun's BLOOD DESTINY, a story of a
spiritual triad bringing together two people that were done with love. Second is,
Ghostly Passions of the Forest, a tale of two former lovers at odds over her past
indiscretion with a girlfriend and a civil war ghost who believes she's the woman
who had died waiting for his return.

She'll keep everyone informed of any contracts that come along.

My personal viewpoint:  The depths Bekki's stories take you will amaze you. She
heavily researches every aspect and will research again as she edits just to
make sure she's portraying accurate pieces.

Her characters will jump off the pages and become so real that you'll find yourself
thinking about them as you would your best friend.  You'll become enthralled,
emotionally involved, aroused, and hopefully by the end, sigh with satisfaction
that the story ended as it should have.

On a more personal note, she's holed up in the mid-west with a man she's been
married to longer than she was ever single. As her nest empties, and her four
sons move on to find their own path, she's finding her house is still predominately
male; just of the four-legged kind.

Aside from writing, Bekki loves to read romance, listen to music of most genres,
and watch movies. She can drive a person mad with watching the same movies
over and over, or listen to the same song hours on end.

Then there is her outdoor nature, where she likes to fiddle with gardening - she
loves her roses; toss a line in the water, camp and watch sports.

And of course, spend time with me - her alter ego who shall remain nameless.
